REMOTE CONSENT TO CARE
English version1 n°007 of 09.09.2024
You (or your child, or a protected adult2) are about to carry out your first teleconsultation with a therapist3 using the Les Toises Online teleconsultation application, which enables you to carry out a consultation remotely. Your rights remain the same as for a conventional consultation. You can choose your therapist as usual, and by mutual agreement you can reschedule with the same therapist.
All our therapists are fully qualified to practice their profession, and have received training in distance consultation.
When registering yourself or your child (or a protected adult), you must read and accept the terms and conditions of the Les Toises Online teleconsultation application, consent to the collection and processing of your personal information, and consent to remote treatment. Your login and password are personal and must never be passed on to third parties. They will never be requested by anyone from Les Toises Psychiatric and Psychotherapy Centre.
Once you have logged on to the teleconsultation application, you can choose your therapist or the consultation slot of your choice. You will reconnect on the day and at the time of the consultation, according to the time zone selected and displayed when booking and confirming the appointment. You will not be able to start the consultation until your therapist is online and has begun the teleconsultation. You can also write to your therapist via a dedicated messaging service. No recordings are made during video-consultations.
If the teleconsultation is interrupted for any reason beyond your control, the therapist will contact you on the telephone number you provided when you registered, in order to complete the consultation remotely. That's why we've asked you to enter your telephone number.
Should you experience symptoms such as fainting, malaise or excessive drowsiness during your teleconsultation, your therapist will immediately contact your support person so that he or she can help you. That's why we've asked you to enter the full name and cell phone number of a contact person in your area.
You pay for your teleconsultation yourself. Payment is made online via a trusted partner, Stripe4 , and as soon as payment has been made and the teleconsultation completed, you can obtain an online paid invoice showing the day and time of the teleconsultation, according to the time zone selected and displayed when the appointment was booked and confirmed. Once the teleconsultation has been carried out, you can send this paid invoice to your health insurance company for reimbursement, subject to the terms and conditions of your health insurance.
If your therapist is a psychiatrist, he or she may need to provide you with a prescription for medication or other prescriptions, or with attestations and certificates. If he or she is a psychologist-psychotherapist, he or she may need to provide you with attestations. In all cases, these documents can be sent to you via Les Toises Online teleconsultation application, and will be drawn up in accordance with the customary rules prevailing in Switzerland. It is your responsibility, if necessary, to obtain a translation in your country of residence. As some countries do not accept prescriptions written abroad, it is your responsibility to seek the advice of a pharmacist in your country of residence, and if necessary to ask a doctor to write you a prescription equivalent to the one provided by your psychiatrist during teleconsultation.
All exchanges made via Les Toises Online teleconsultation application are secure and encrypted. The information collected is stored on servers in Switzerland, and the entire system complies with legal provisions on data protection. Further information is provided in the general terms and conditions of use for Les Toises Online application, which you must read and accept in order to access the website.
